Roy Rogers, George "Gabby" Hayes, and Sally Payne are members of "Professor Blackstone's Medicine Show".
Their offering of tuneful entertainment and elixir receives a poor reception in the town of Deadwood, led by Bad Man Hal Taliaferro (as Ripper).
They decide to stick around and extinguish the "Bad Man of Deadwood" and his wicked gang.

A Slam Bang Early Roy Rogers pic.
10,700 downloads can't be wrong. This is an early Roy Rogers film set before his modern times musical westerns. It is vintage Rogers, with the best supporting cast. Stand-outs include, of course Gabby Hayes, but Sally Payne, Jay Novello, and a newcomer Henry Brandon are just fine, and entire Republic roster is in this as well, or so it seems. Directed by Joe Kane, with the usual great Republic production values. Plenty of action and plenty of plot. A minor quible or two, this is a 16mm TV print and is very old and a little fuzzy and the night lense used in about a third of the picture comes off a little too dark, but all in all a great liitle western which Roy made too few of (blame Herb. Yates). Enjoy
